Partial eclipse of the Sun taken 14th November 2012 during society outreach at USQ

Venus transit 2012 taken from USQ with 80mm refractor and Canon EOS camera

Above: A lovely shot of the Moon taken with Canon EOS camera and ED80 refractor

Using the wheels from a low cost hand trolley ($19 ), some bits of wood and threaded rod; a couple of bits of aluminium; some nuts and bolts and screws; a hinge; some epoxy and a little bit of thought, it's turned out to be very usable.

Now at the drop of a hat, I can roll my 'scope out of the garage and be observing within seconds. And be packed away as easily!

Andy is a long time member of the society and aside from his nice mobile 10 inch dob mounted Newtonian seen above also has a Sky-Watcher ED80 refractor and old classic Vixen Great Polaris German equatorial mount and used a Canon EOS digital SLR camera for taking shots of the night sky. He was treasurer of our society committee.
